Cleaning up Littleover for The Great Big Green Week

Join GoodGym Derby on a litter picking session for The Great Big Green Week, the UK’s biggest ever celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature. Every year, people come together to unleash a wave of support for action to protect the planet.

We'll be litter picking (whilst walking) in Sunnydale Park, Littleover.

The Great Big Green Week is an opportunity for local residents to engage with nature, environmental issues or a new sustainable activity and also provides the chance for local groups and clubs to showcase what they offer for people wanting to join in.

This is a great chance to find out more about the volunteering group GoodGym Derby and what our volunteers do in the community. We're usually based in the city centre so come along to this session and find out what sort of things we help organisations, community groups and charities with.

Please wear some protective gloves (gardening ones are ideal) and some older clothes. We will be outside for the entire session. Litter pickers, hoops and bin bags are provided.

This session is free of charge to attend.

Please sign up if you're planning to attend and also remove yourself from the register if you can no longer make it - so I know who to look out for and don't leave without anyone. This is also important so I know how many litter pickers/hoops to bring along.

We're meeting at 10.15am to leave the start location at 10.30am will return to the start location by 12.30pm

Free parking is available on residential streets nearby at what3words locations ///cloud.nests.pram or ///fluid.hired.raft
