For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
A team of local volunteers have taken on maintaining two huge flower beds along Silverdale in Sydenham.
They meet every third Saturday of the month at 11am for a gardening session where they'll be:
🌱 Tugging out weeds
🌸 Planting new seeds
✂️ Trimming back any overgrown plants
This is quite a special task for us, as former GoodGymer Tim used to look after these planters on his own as an act of community service. Now his widow, Viv, and some keen local gardeners have taken on the job, but would appreciate an extra dose of GoodGym support.
The session will be from 11-12am. Please bring gardening gloves 🧤 All other tools will be provided. The beds are outside 54 Silverdale, by the North West entrance to Mayow Park.
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs
This session is organised by your Taskforce, a group of experienced GoodGym members in your area. They are not responsible for your safety. You should feel confident to participate in the session as it is described and you do so at your own risk.
