About this session

The trees in Laugherne Brook Nature reserve need our help. If it has rained then we'll need to carry water to give them a drink. If it hasn't rained then we will be adding mulch around each one to help feed nutrients into the ground and retain water. Either way we'll be kept busy!

We'll be meeting at The Hive then it's a 2km run to the nature reserve. Alternatively you can meet us at the entrance on Solitaire Avenue.

This task supports
Friends of Laugherne Brook Nature Reserve
Friends of Laugherne Brook are a community group dedicated to the care, protection and enhancement of our local green-space.

Situated to the west of the city, the reserve encompasses a length of approximately one mile of Laugherne Brook. It forms a ribbon of woodland, scrub, hay meadows and amenity grassland through the housing area. The reserve also includes a smaller section in Lower Wick, where Laugherne Brook joins the River Teme.

What to look out for

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Marcus Mumford (he/him) by email at marcus@goodgym.org.

Options are available to run between 4km and 5km in total.

Remember that we will be running to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.
