🌼 Join us for a very special GoodGym Wandsworth session as we plant 1,000 daffodil bulbs at the beautiful, historic St Mary’s Church in Battersea.
These bulbs have been kindly donated by the council, and we’ll be planting them in memory of our friend David, one of the first members of GoodGym Wandsworth ten years ago.
David was born in the spring, his favourite colour was yellow, and he had a real love of nature. He also used to pass St Mary’s on his way home from work, making this a particularly meaningful place to remember him.
By planting these bulbs, we’ll create a lasting tribute — a beautiful splash of yellow that we can return to visit when the daffodils bloom next spring. 💛 As well as honouring David’s memory, our work will help improve biodiversity in this much-loved spot, brightening up the community space and making it more welcoming for local residents and everyone who uses the church.
It’s a chance to come together as a GoodGym community, remember a friend, and leave something beautiful behind for others to enjoy.
All are welcome to this task whether it's your first time or your 100th Either meet at the BAC or at St Mary's by the river at 18:55 We have a back marker so nobody is ever left behind There is somewhere to change and use the loo at the start but nowhere to store bags Please bring gardening gloves and a head torch if you have them
Let’s plant a little future sunshine in David’s memory 🌼
