Getting there

For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!

    About this session

As a volunteer at Manchester Memory Walk you will support the running of the event. We have roles for everyone, including on our event site, out on route or back marking. As an event site volunteer you will support by selling merchandise, answering walker questions and much more. As a route volunteer you will be directing our walkers on route and cheering them one. As a back marker volunteer you will follow the last of our walkers, keeping the event team updated, taking down signage and relieving other route volunteers as you go. We simply cannot run Memory Walks without volunteers.

Alzheimer's Society Memory Walks raise millions each year to fund vital services, ground breaking research and relentless campaigning. It will take a society to beat dementia and by volunteering at Memory Walk you can be a part of it!

We need volunteers to support our Manchester Memory Walk 2026. There is a role for everyone, from being a route marshal cheering on walkers, to handing out medals, to back marking the route too. You can also volunteer with friends and family. Find out more on our website: www.alzheimers.org.uk/memory-walk/volunteer
