About this session

Forest Gate Community Garden have asked for our help in maintaining a series of different sized planters near the garden. This would be a first visit for GoodGym to organisation, so it would be great to get a good turnout for our first session with the team there.

They need rubbish clearance, cutting back and replanting, and equipment will be provided.

Fiona, our host at the gardens has said: "The ones I have in mind will be in a terrible state at the beginning, but if you could come again we could do some planting up and make them look lovely. We may also need some wooden signs made up, or at least signs attached to the planters."

They have a Forest Garden Trail planned for 6 & 7 June and want to include the planters, as an added extra, so any support we can provide would be invaluable. From a "terrible state" to "looking lovely" - sounds right up our street and we can't wait to help.

Everyone is very welcome at GoodGym — whether it’s your first time or you’ve been along before — and all tools and equipment will be provided.

You can join in whichever way suits you:

  • Running: meet at Freaks & Geeks at 18:30 for a 2k jog to the task (sign-up above)

  • No running: make your own way to the garden to meet us there at 19:00
