Today's session
Hi everyone and welcome to GoodGym Greenwich!
We're a friendly and social group who combine running with volunteering in the local community. We meet every Wednesday evening to get active and do a physical task for charities and community organisations across the borough.
The Task
As the Woolwich Common Litter pick isn't on this month, we will be doing a Saturday run to Mycenae House instead. Expect some work on the dead hedge, getting rid of brambles or ivy and weeding.
The Run
The run will be about 2km. You're welcome along at any pace - we never leave anyone behind!
Where & When
We'll meet at 10.15am for a 10.30am start in Charlton Park outside the Old Cottage Cafe. If you'd like to skip the run and meet at the task we will be at Mycenae Gardens, 90 Mycenae Road, SE3 7SE for about 11am. The what-three-words location is video.valid.giving.
We'll finish at Mycenae gardens about 12pm and probably enjoy some tea and cake in a local cafe afterwards. Join us for whatever bit you fancy - please just let me know in the comments if you're meeting at the task!
What to bring
Please bring some water and gloves (if you have some) otherwise it's just yourself.
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym group run, with the option of walking too. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run or walk to the task together. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Rachel Henry by email at rachelhenry@goodgym.org.
Area Activator at GoodGym Greenwich. I love community and getting to know all the great initiatives and people that make it what it is!
