Getting there

For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!

    About this session

We've got a new task at Halstow Primary School where we'll be joining their big volunteering day to help build new equipment for the school playground.

The school runs a programme called OPAL which encourages the children to create their own items whilst also managing the risk themselves. They've spent a lot of time finding different pieces of equipment from local businesses - like palettes and cable drums - to build things. We'll be joining staff, parents and probably some children to led a hand in putting it all together! There has been talk of a BBQ so hopefully there will be something on offer during our time there.

Bring some gloves and come and get involved - no need to commit the full time, just stay for as long as you can.

    What to look out for

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs
