Tonight we'll be having a night of good old Halloween themed GoodGym fun!
Our task is at the amazing rough sleeper hub in Battersea. This invaluable resource has 11 short-stay residential beds for people experiencing homelessness. It supports them with on-site services such as integrated housing officers, SPEAR rough sleeping outreach, NHS mental health support, and clinical psychiatrist assistance. We will be supporting their work by dismantling furniture, shifting it around the centre and moving computers.
This space is very close to the BAC so tonight there will be no run, but we will be doing a full body workout a short jog away for those that are keen to get active!
We'll be following the task with a social at the local pub - bring along a scary snack if you'd like (but not essential) and light fancy dress is encouraged!
We have somewhere to to change at our start location and loos, but nowhere to store bags. We have a back marker so nobody will ever be left behind. If it's you're first time you're super welcome and if you have any questions please drop me a line.
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Anastasia Hancock (she/her) by email at ana@goodgym.org.
Area Activator for Wandsworth and Hounslow. All things running. For fitness, fun, racing and to feel good - and for everybody!
There's space to change and leave bags and toilets. We're not planning to do anything purposefully dangerous, but GoodGym takes no responsibility for your safety during group runs, you participate at your own risk. Participants accept full responsibility for items stored at Battersea Arts Centre, and Battersea Arts Centre and GoodGym will not be held liable for any losses or damages.
Comments are a good place to ask any questions you may have about the session.
