Tonight it is our 9th birthday - that's right, almost a decade of doing good and getting active in Wandsworth! Time flies when you've been shifting compost, painting, weeding and litter picking!
To mark the occasion we're off to our GoodGym garden to give it some love and hopefully pick some produce to donate to local charities. This is a space we've been looking after and planting up to improve biodiversity and support those in need.
We'll then do a fun, birthday themed fitness session before heading to the Omnibus bar for food and drinks - don't forget we have a special GoodGym code which gives us 10% off!
It's going to be a really fun evening full of all things GoodGym - whether you're new to the group or you've got your wings already, everybody is welcome for what should be a great evening.
We'll be finishing the session at the Omnibus theatre (1 Clapham Common North Side) for our social rather than running back to the BAC (although I am more than happy to run back with you to our starting point). Please do bring gardening gloves if you have them.
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Anastasia Hancock (she/her) by email at ana@goodgym.org.
The total distance of this group run is 3km.
Remember that we will be running to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.
Area Activator for Wandsworth and Hounslow. All things running. For fitness, fun, racing and to feel good - and for everybody!
There's space to change and leave bags and toilets. We're not planning to do anything purposefully dangerous, but GoodGym takes no responsibility for your safety during group runs, you participate at your own risk. Participants accept full responsibility for items stored at Battersea Arts Centre, and Battersea Arts Centre and GoodGym will not be held liable for any losses or damages.
Comments are a good place to ask any questions you may have about the session.
