About this session

โ“ What's The Task?

After a major garden clean up in the St Mary's churchyard this summer, we've been asked to tidy some weeds before autumn hits and everything stops growing.

๐Ÿ“ Where and When ๐Ÿ•–?

  • 6:45pm: Meet at Bodyline Studio for a gentle 1.2 km run or walk (each way)

OR

  • 7:00pm: Meet at St Mary's Church, St Mary's Rd, London W5 5RH

๐Ÿงค What Do I Need To Bring?

  • ๐Ÿ‘• Clothes that you don't mind getting dirty
    • Long sleeves would be helpful to protect from the nettles
  • ๐Ÿงค Gardening gloves, if you have them

FAQ

Not sure you'll keep up? GoodGym is for everyone (18+). Whether you've never run before, or are chasing a marathon PB, you are 100% welcome. We always have a back-marker so no one gets left behind.

If you're not comfortable running, you can also meet us at the task location in the description.

What if I'm not a runner? 70% of GoodGym members start as non-runners so if you're new to this kind of thing you will be supported by people who are all on the same journey. ๐Ÿ‘

What do I need to wear? Most of us wear gym/running gear but this isn't required, so wear whatever you're comfortable working in. Make sure you're prepared for the weather.

Don't feel like you're fit enough? Our tasks are simple and fun. There are easy jobs as well as more challenging things for those who want a workout! The choice is always yours.

What to look out for

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym group run, with the option of walking too. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run or walk to the task together. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Kash by email at kash@goodgym.org.

Options are available to run between 1km and 2km in total.

Remember that we will be running or walking to and from the task, so you'll only be running or walking for half this distance in one go.

There's space to change and leave bags and toilets. We're not planning to do anything purposefully dangerous, but GoodGym takes no responsibility for your safety during group runs, you participate at your own risk.
