About this session

We'll be meeting at 6:30 at the Castle Centre Gym by Elephant & Castle tube. From there, we'll run a nice quiet 2km route along a very scenic part of the Thames to Lollard Street Adventure Playground (all paces welcome!) where we'll be helping out at the UK's oldest Adventure Playground with some gardening and moving some logs.

We'll wrap up at about 8pm and jog back to the Castle Centre.

For the run - we'll have a back marker, so all paces completely welcome. GoodGym welcomes runners of all abilities and we never leave anyone behind.

If you prefer to meet us at the task you're very welcome to do so. We'd expect to arrive at approximately 7pm.

We're fully in headtorch season so whilst we might split our task time in the garden and the amazing inside rooms at the playground, worth bringing a headtorch if you have one for the run.

Lollard Street is the UK’s oldest adventure playground and have been providing an exciting, fun and adventurous space for local children to play since 1955. They run free play sessions throughout the year, during both term time and school holidays and are open to 6-16 year olds living or attending school in North Lambeth.

What to look out for

Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.

This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Charlotte Martin (She/her) by email at charlotte@goodgym.org.

The total distance of this group run is 4km.

Remember that we will be running to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.
