For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
About this session
Join us as we help the team at CREOS, a local conservation charity, maintain and improve a lovely green oasis in Crouch End.
CREOS looks after the meadows and wooded pathways of the Crouch End Open Space. GoodGym runners have been helping them maintain this beautiful patch of land for a while now, and the CREOS team always has lots for us to do.
This month, the CREOS team are planning on playing down a load of hoggin (a mix of hardy sand, clay and gravel aggregate) for new paths along the forest walking routes. It will be a big job, so we can use as many hands as possible!
A mix of tasks will be available, involving classic wheelbarrowing and shoveling workouts, but also forest path maintenance. Less physical tasks are also on offer.
We'll meet for an 11am start and aim to work for two hours. Stay as long as you can... but if you can make it to 1pm you'll get to enjoy a picnic* provided by the CREOS team. (Though this may be contingent on the weather!)
During the Winter months, we will be meeting in the Hanley Tennis Club Carpark.

Hi all, Unfortunately, The Friends of CREOS have made the decision to cancel our volunteer forest path building session this month, due to supplies not being delivered in time, and the pathways being slick with mud. ---------- However, I have set up an alternate community mission in Elthorne Park, Archway starting at 10.30am, if you would like to join in? We will be Christmas Tree hunting around the Archway, Crouch Hill and Sussex Way areas, recycling trees in the correct locations and saving additional labour for the local council. Sign up here!
