For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
DaznBone (aka Darren Strachan and David Bone) and the Camino Ultra team are putting together the logistics for their next 50km ultra race (running from Wanstead Flats, up the green corridor to Epping Forest and back), and have invited the Goodgym crew to get involved!
Goodgym Aid Station Party
On the course, there will be 4 major aid stops, and we have been invited to take over the first refresh point and the penultimate aid station.
This will involve providing water and snacks to runners of all abilities during the key stages of their race, and to support them with smiling faces and enthusiasm!
First aid and medical assistance will be provided by professionals and trained volunteers, not us Goodgym folk.
Butler's Retreat cafe is checkpoint 1 and checkpoint 3 on route. Looking out for the runners passing on the outward section and then the return trip.
We will try to split aid station shifts into morning or afternoon sessions. However, you are welcome to stay all day!!!
To accommodate this, we can offer an earlier shift or a later shift (great for those who want to enjoy a party at the Golden Fleece in Wanstead afterwards!)
A WhatsApp link group will be created on 1st October 2024.
