  2. Liz, Frances and I represented GG Camden last night at the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at the American International Church. We were awarded a certificate and flowers for our efforts and told we were a pillar in keeping the shelter going.

Oh my what a fabulous evening at Kentish Town City Farm. After a 3k up hill run we met the wonderful Mel, who told us the the unfortunate news that the trustees are trying to make some of the staff redundant and close some of the farm programs, including the work with older people and horse riding. If you'd like to sign the petition to help stop this then you can do so here.

TOGGLES

We carried the marquee parts, tables, chairs and more up to the top of the farm. Splitting into two teams - one putting up the marquee and the other continuing to bring up the tables and chairs. Hayley gracefully led putting up the marquee - giving clear instructions and she clearly remembered how we did it last time.

After splitting the poles into A, B & C we then used the joiners to attach everything together, before putting on the toggles and then putting the legs on. Great team work all round. To finish off we put the cover on and bags of poop on the legs to keep it weighed down.

Goat time!

The best was yet to come. Mel gave everyone branches and leaves to feed the very friendly and hungry goats. This included the cute Rosie who was just a KID the last night we saw her! Well done all - amazing evening!

Next week we are back at the farm to help pack up from the May Day Festival.
