Two runners from GoodGym Hammersmith and Fulham and Hounslow met in sunny Shepherd’s Bush on Sunday morning to do some gardening for Mr H. Great to have the outdoor gardening missions back in action!

Mr H was well prepared when we arrived; he gave instructions on where to find a selection of gardening tools, waste bags and the lawn mower.

Alice got to work pulling up some well rooted weeds from Mr H’s patio while Mr H called down some helpful tips from an upstairs bedroom window.

After an hour of weeding and trimming it was time for Michelle to use a lawn mower for the first time ever - cue celebratory shout outs from Mr H’s next door neighbours, including two children who’d never heard a lawn mower before!

After an hour and half in the sun drenched garden we filled 5 bags of garden waste and were on our way, Alice running home and Michelle setting off for a virtual speed session with GoodGym runners- our good weed for the day done.

Well done both! The referrer passed on this message from Mr H: “The young ladies from Good Gym have done a wonderful job." He sends his thanks and appreciation!
