A beautiful evening for a run along The River Lea and I hoped this would mean some last minute sign ups to come and join Rosa,Kevin and I as we headed to Cody Dock. With no extra goodgymers appearing we headed off.

Simon was waiting for us when we arrived as Basia had been sent home feeling a little under the weather....sounds like post holiday blues to me.

As ever Simon had a list of things for us to complete all based round clearing a container which was being used as a multi storage unit,beer,wine,crisps,wellies,waders,spades,binoculars,litter pickers and litter picking hoops. The will be repurposed as a building storage for when works starts on thevisitor centre Which our very Justin is running the London marathon to help raise additional funds for.

Friday marks the final Bat and Beer event for Cody Dock this year so restocking the bar was first job which we completed even with a guinness can mini explosion. We then moved on to transporting the other items to their new storage area......sure will be a date in the future that the items are re-homed.

As the sun disappeared our task was complete. We shall be back in a couple of weeks and head torches will be required.
