This was my first social visit with the lovely Mrs J who lives alone and its partially sighted. Me and Mrs J quickly hit it off with our mutual love for all things cats as she had an extensive collection of cat ornaments and fixtures around her house, all of which helped stir up many interesting conversations. Mrs J's last cat was called Jack, a lovely white cat with a few black patches and adopted her when she was a kitten at 2 years old that came all the way from Reading. She mentioned that her love of cats stemmed from her mother who used to adopt any stray animal that crossed their paths on the farm they used to live on. We also spoke about all the places she and her sister used to live and there were quite a few! We also managed to chat about her long-term job as a secretary for a quantity surveying company where she received a gold watch for her 21 years of service, something that modern day companies don't do any more. We both enjoyed our random chats and I look forward to visiting Mrs J again in the future.

Well done, Adam! I've been visiting Mrs. J for five years (outside of GG) and she's one of the loveliest people I know. I remember Jack fondly; he was the gentlest thing. I'm so happy Mrs. J has had one more visitor this week :)
