Georgeta and Sheila went to help Mr P with his garden in weather that can only be described as extremely damp. He was concerned about the ivy overwhelming his front garden hedge, which is also starting to stick out over the pavement. He also wanted us to make sure the paths were clear of any trip hazards. Sheila set to work clearing the paths and Georgeta took on the hedging. We couldn't believe the quantity of ivy that came out of the hedge and Georgeta even revealed a brick pillar that had been completely hidden from view. We also rescued some bottles and cans that passersby had unhelpfully hidden in the hedge on their way past. Last task was to tackle a pillar supporting a rose which had been totally engulfed with the ever prolific ivy. Tidy-up resulted in us filling 17 bin bags. Wowzers!
