We've been making a real impact on tackling loneliness recently with our Group Runs by giving some time and company to groups of older people. Now the clocks have gone back and nights are longer, this is the time of year people feel most lonely so what better way to overcome that by having a sing-a-long with a bunch of out-of-tune GoodGymers haha.

Rosalind was taking part in her 1st GoodGym encounter so a big welcome!

Being Halloween week, we had an array of masks on show this week, to be taken off so not to scare the older people on our arrival!

We had a 5.5km each-way distance to run this week, one of our longer ones but we don't mind when it's for such a good cause and we've developed a very close relationship with Redmayne View over the last year and a half. This is evident as each time we come along there is more and more residents coming down to join in. There must have been at least 50 of us in total. It was also nice to see several staff members joining in too.

There was a whole list of songs we belted out until our hearts were content, most noticeably with hits such as 'Summer Holiday' and 'Sweet Caroline'.

Another very rewarding task completed before the long run back to The Forum.

Next week we're back to outdoors when we visit Eaton Park.
