As I ran through today's list with Ms M, my eyes alighted on her request for Spam - for reasons far too numerous to mention this made me smile, and I set off with an unexpected spring in my step, although not quite sure where in the aisles this globally famous product would be located. Two tins in the trolley later, along with another two tins of corned beef (shades of student days...), and everything else on her list, I was soon back at Ms M's with this week's treasure, delighted once again that the world's politest supermarket hadn't let me or Ms M down.
