This morning Gemma battled the wind and drizzle and cycled over to Chapel Allerton to tackle an overgrown wildlife patch.

I collected tools from one of the friendly members of Chapel Allerton spaces and headed over to the space to get started. Cycling with the tools was not an easy feat!

There were a lot of leaves, which I collected first. I then removed litter that had accumulated under the leaves. I also weeded the area, picking out nettles and dandelions that had taken over since we last visited the patch.

We will be heading over to Chapel Allerton several times over the year, to help Chapel Allerton Spaces to keep on top of their patches and ensure that they are all safe and accessible for members of the public to visit.
