Mr&Mrs E's support worker greeted Lydia and I at the door this evening, and led us into Mr N's bedroom to show us the three large IKEA boxes that, if assembled correctly, should produce a sliding door wardrobe. Mr N was very grateful for our help and kept something of an eye on our progress from his bed.

With boxes opened, and all parts laid out in the hallway, we started at step one of the instructions and got building. Fortunately things started to come together quickly and neatly, as we correctly inserted the "white pushy things", "half moon shaped clip thingys" and "ratchety wheely brackety things" into their respective cutouts and holes, and before too long we had the shell upright and manoeuvred into the alcove - it fitted perfectly - and the sliding doors installed and adjusted. Some stoppers and two doorknobs screwed on later and our task was complete for the evening.

Well done to Lydia on completing just her second ever older person mission (having done her first earlier in the day).

Mr N was delighted with our efforts, as was his support worker, and we left them discussing just how much of Mrs E's clothes would now fit into their new storage space...
