Report written by Beth Hoskins (She/her)
On a sunny Sunday morning Tim, Emma and I met to paint a fence panel and gate for Mrs M in her garden. The paint was a bit of a mixed bag to start off with - the brown paint for the fence sounded decidedly watery when I gave it a shake whereas the black paint appeared to be all dried up. Tim managed to bring it back to life though with the help of a knife, an experience he compared to breaking through the ice in the arctic making Emma and I suspicious that he may have been an Eskimo in a previous life.
While we worked we chatted about the Great British Bake Off, Tim’s fast approaching membership of the black T-shirt club and Emma’s upcoming first coach visit.
By the time we’d finished Emma had a sizable amount of black paint on her hands and Tim’s T-shirt had acquired a brown splotch after he had had to defend himself against a rather large spider. Once we’d cleaned up a bit we said our goodbyes to Mrs M and walked into Brixton before going our separate ways.
