Two runners volunteered at the Baby Bank and were given the task of sorting through a mountain of donated school uniform. Many families have needed help over the last few months with ensuring their children were kitted out for the new school term, but luckily the donations have kept rolling in. Clothes were checked for wear and tear and cleanliness, any name labels removed and then stored in the appropriate bag for the age range, ready for distribution to families in need. It was Zoe’s first mission in the Windsor and Maidenhead area, and she set about the task with enthusiasm, and at the end of the morning the uniform mountain had been significantly reduced

Providing essentials to families in extreme need

The Baby Bank collects donations of good quality clothes, equipment, and furniture to help families in extreme need. They provide essentials ranging from everyday items like nappies, and wipes to larger items like cots. They support families beyond the baby stage, for example with school uniform. They aim to give all children the best possible start in life.

Well done Sheila and Zoe! 👏 I remember doing this last year. Very satisfying to see that mountain turn into a smaller hill 😁
