On a really wet and windy morning 4 GoodGym Coventry members supported the 24th Coventry Scouts at their allotment. It was great to meet Kit and hopefully we will see you again at a task soon. The first task was to put posts in the ground to create a fence for a soon to be created raised bed garden. Dan from the Scouts leadership team moved the digger and the team placed the fence posts in position. Holes were created using the very heave fence post driver. As a team, the posts were bashed into the holes. After 45 minutes of hard work, the team admired their work only to realise their error. The digger had been trapped inside the fence! Not a problem though as Dan can sort this tomorrow. There is still plenty of work to be done and we are looking forward to returning to support them.

24th Coventry Scouts Allotment
Providing the opportunity for our young people to grow

We are a new scout group set up in Woodend, Coventry. In October 2019 we took on a very large allotment to give our young people to opportunity to grow their own food, learn about the environment and sustainability and to support our community with fresh fruit and vegetables. Unfortunately due to covid we have been unable to meet this spring and the Allotment has become very over grown.
