There was just three Goodgym runners at tonight's meet point in Poole Park.

It was the night of an important football match (apparently!), the threat of rain and a week after a full on sign up week celebrating our second birthday!

But it was delightful to welcome Anna for her first Goodgym task! Anna's mum has previously attended a session (and we hope will come to another in future!). Anna has taken up running in lockdown and now regularly runs each week. We really hope you join us again Anna!

It was wonderful to have Nicola join us again tonight, it's been too long! Nikki has been jeffing for most of lockdown yet managed the consistent 5k return leg with no issues at all so clearly built a base fitness.

We ran to the task around the park, covering 1.5 mile at steady pace where we met Helen and Clare. We have worked with Helen many times before as task owner and it was great to meet colleague, Clare as well tonight. The children's centre continue to have restructures, new names (Family Hubs now!) and changes to offered services but they still strive to support families and children in local area. Helen and Clare asked we work on the mud kitchen area which needed to be weeded and turned over ready for kids to get muddy in!

It turned out this area was quite deep in roots so there was lots of pulling, digging and shaking to get down to the routes - The winning route being pulled by Nikki!

It was great to have one of those tasks where you get to see difference, it was suitably changed into a mud area, covered up and all ready for tomorrow's kids!

The Children's Centre has a local pub, playing the Very Important football match- So each massive cheer we knew was a goal, followed by chants and cheers when we assumed was the end whistle - a much more fun way to work out what was happening!

Muddy shoes, gloves and hands, it was time for a run back to the park. We all run a 5k along the Quay, Baitor and back into the park, enjoying a quiet evening as everyone was still celebrating the result.

We maybe few tonight but a run, task, run all complete!
