The lovely Ms Y always maintains that the Co-Op sells multiple varieties of Madeira cake including a favoured Cherry Madeira. It’s a conservation that has come up several win the couple of years that I have shopped for her. She was disappointed again today and plumped for the plain Madeira cake rather than the cherry and sultana slab cake. The rest was easy to get standard fayre.
