12 Westminster GoodGymers collected 40 buckets of rubbish from along and in the canal at Little Venice to help The Canal & River Trust keep as many pollutants many plastics out of the areas water systems!!

Amazing to have so many GG first timers along for the session!!

Be great to have you along to the Westminster Wednesday evening runs which start and finish at near Oxford Circus!! Meet at 6:15 leave by 6:30 and with a run, task combo complete we are back by 8:00!!

If Wednesday’s are tricky then there are other areas close by on Monday’s and Tuesdays plus community missions mainly on the weekend which have a task but not the run.

All the information is on the GoodGym website!!

With Temperatures low we got stuck right in splitting into 2 groups going East and West. Unfortunately the canal and tow path had loads of litter and pollutants! More plastics in the water than I have seen along the same stretch in the last 2 years! Grabbing all that we could reach we made a huge dent into both the rubbish in and along the bank which with a strong gust of wind could have gotten into the waterways.

A massive effort complete we emptied the buckets and headed off with a job well done!

Hope to see you on a run again soon!!

As a Newbie GG-er enjoyed it and thank you Joel for the welcome and making it easy and not at all daunting . Great weather you arranged for us all too :-)
