Last night a big group of Goodgymmers made a great start at clearing an overgrown shrubbery to make way for a new community garden. Today, I returned to join our task owner in clearing up the mess we'd made. In the light of day it was obvious that the piles of laurel branches would never fit in a car, so a tree surgeon will be coming to chip and remove them. So today we continued to cut back the laurel and ivy which were smothering the ornamental trees, and also to pick up all the litter we found underneath - a scooter, a luggage trolley and a trainer were among today's finds! A tiring but very satisfying task. It will be great to see the new garden develop.
