Saturday 21st March
Report written by Gill (She/her)
Laura and I arrived bright and early to help out with the trial of a new parkrun at Rothampstead Park. As they introduced the new route I was relieved that I was on timekeeping as they described 4 loops in the park including 4 laps up the avenue (that’s 4 times up the hill)! After the first timers briefing the run was actually able to start dead on 9am, and Laura set off up the hill alongside the other 37 runners and walkers. I stood at the finish line and cheered them on, so pleased that we’d had the first run in glorious sunshine. The RD was really pleased with the trial and our feedback on how everything had gone. Looking forward to returning once the run is officially launched, and runnjng it for real.
