A first time shop for Ms D this morning - so a quite thorough briefing on the contents of her list, and what to get/not get in case her local Waitrose didn't have the item(s) in question. She was slightly concerned that she might've forgotten something, so I assured her that if anything did occur to her, it would be okay to get it upon my return.

I've definitely found a rival to the Brunswick edition of the World's Politest Supermarket, as Ms D's local Waitrose on the Edgware Road proved to be a pleasant and successful experience - the only item I couldn't locate was a roll of puff pastry for which I needed the help of an assistant - who went above and beyond what was required to show me which aisle I should've been hunting in. My luck was in because I got the last box...

Ms D was delighted when I returned with her treasure, assured me that she hadn't forgotten anything, and after also taking her rubbish bag out and checking her mailbox, I left her to unpack.
