Mr M has a long holly hedge surrounding his property which was overgrown and obscuring the view of drivers approaching the blind bend. Georgeta and Sheila went to get the hedge back under control and were joined by the referrer, Valerie. We were blessed with a beautiful autumn morning, and Georgeta and Valerie set to work with their hedge trimmers whilst Sheila filled the green bin with the waste. A strategically-placed traffic cone and green bin protected the workers from traffic coming along the lane. Before long the hedge had had a lovely haircut, and after filling the green bin, 8 compost bags, plus a large hippo bag were also filled with the trimmings. An enjoyable and satisfying task which has made the lane a safer place for drivers and pedestrians. Mr M is a delightful centenarian who is still living independently, and as we left was setting up to use the leaf-blower in his yard. He's unstoppable!

A very satisfying gardening job, and lots of 'thank you' from the passersby.
