It was a day of epic proportions, with tree surgeons turning up on a Sunday, a couple of hours before the run to take down some pretty hefty trees. Which doesn't usually work well with runners or general safety. But we got through that and all the other mishaps, like having to jump start the van carrying all the equipment while setting up. I did my usual duties of registration and managing the timing of the run. I was kept very busy as it was more popular than ever, with over £8,500 raised for the British Heart Foundation from the event.
