An amazing 5 GoodGymers (or should it be 5 amazing GoodGymers?) answered the call to help out at the Baby Bank. We were faced by a mountain of donated clothes which needed checking and sorting. This was the first time that I had been to their new premises in Holyport and it was great to have some natural light and space in which to work. Alongside a couple of other volunteers, Jen, Juli, Michelle, Rachel and Sheila set to work checking the quality of donations and making sure they were in bags labelled with the correct size. By the end of the session, we had eroded the mountain slightly, but there is plenty more to go. There are more opportunities to help out next Friday or Wednesday

Providing essentials to families in extreme need

The Baby Bank collects donations of good quality clothes, equipment, and furniture to help families in extreme need. They provide essentials ranging from everyday items like nappies, and wipes to larger items like cots. They support families beyond the baby stage, for example with school uniform. They aim to give all children the best possible start in life.
