Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Gosia Rybacka
I visited Mrs T today to do some tidying up on her balcony. It was a rainy and very autumn-y day with many leaves ๐๐๐ lying on the city pavements which made my way to the mission very pleasant and dreamy ๐.
I arrived around 15 mins past 6 pm as I have really struggled to find the right building ๐ข. It's a new build and the navigation ๐ wasn't that familiar yet with the new addresses in the area.
Tara welcomed me warmely inviting inside to sit on a sofa ๐ and have a bit of chat before starting the work. Mrs T just recently moved in and still a lot of boxes and luggage remained unpacked. She told me a bit about the place she comes from, her health issues and also few stories about her moving out/in.
Around 6:40 her daughter came and reminded her about the evening activity Mrs T forgot about ๐
No time to waste then!
The balcony was super spacious (I don't think I have seen such a big one before). There were a lot of plants placed in a rather random locations. We planned and rearranged the table and chairs ๐ช๐ช, moved plants ๐ฑaround to ensure a good access and space around the door.
I also moved a pretty heavy box ๐ชจ full of magazines inside the flat (Mrs T said she is currently working on a cooking book).
Before leaving, I gave the balcony a proper sweep ๐งน๐, making it all look tidy and clean.
Mrs T really wanted to give me some money or at least flowers ๐ but I kindly declined and left wishing Mrs T a great restful evening.
I didnโt take any photos from the task but I caught a nice shot of Battersea Power Station on my way back.
