Mr D, being a nonagenarian, is pretty savvy in using his laptop and shopping online. Unfortunately, he didn't have a proper setup to browse the internet comfortably. The low stool on wheels that he was using was not good for his back and led to injury and even more trouble afterwards. Mr D decided to order a more suitable chair for his desk. The chair arrived - but it was too cumbersome to assemble! This is where GoodGym stepped in.

Lulu and Kash showed up on Sunday to solve the chair puzzle. The team members had all the experience needed for the task: Lulu in expertly assembling chairs and Kash in giving the best impression she knows what she's doing. The chair came with a hex key and illustrated instructions, so it got assembled in no time! Lulu and Kash moved Mr D's armchair a little bit to make more space for the new chair and ensure Mr D could move around safely.

Mr D was very grateful for the help. All three spent the rest of the time at Mr D's having a little chat. Mr D told GoodGymers about his hopes for the future when he was young and his life in Shepherd's Bush. Lulu and Kash learned about the difficulties he experienced with his flat and travelling for the appointments he needs. When Mr D feels lonely, he reaches out for one of many books he owns, but nothing compares to a conversation with other people, so it was a pleasure to stay and chat with him.

Despite having a carer and helpful neighbours, Mr D would benefit from some assistance with organising the space in his flat and keeping him company. Hopefully, after GoodGymers' advice, he will ask his carer to get in touch with GoodGym to arrange more help for him.
