James and Linda cycled to Frenford Food Bank to find our new GG Redbridge member AJ also arrived by bike. 🚴 While the food bank is fun its a bit too hectic to get to know new people but we hope AJ felt welcome, we know we didn't put her off because she asked when the next one is happening. 😊

We were soon joined by Peter and Arjun, and the usual hustle, bustle and rustling of bags began. Linda decided James is our designated trainer (well he had the cheek to criticise her when she trained someone so now he has got the job 😂) he had AJ up to speed in no time so the two of them soon joined Arjun and Linda in making up the food packages. Peter settled into his usual role of facilitating the packers by restocking shelves, clearing rubbish, breaking up boxes and generally being useful. More helpers arrived, the narrow corridor got busier and filled with the sounds of "excuse me!" sorry!" and -from the less well mannered among us -"move your bum!" 😯 😂

There has been less need for the food bank in recent weeks so not so many packages this time. We seemed to be finished packing in no time and some of us were helping drivers load up drivers cars, including Peter who had also signed up as a driver, others helped sort new deliveries and with packing away the trolleys. 🛒

All in all a successful and enjoyable session. Well done us 😁
