Welcome to the latest edition of our occasional series of Jer climbs up in high places on a GoodGym task...

Today we headed over to the Gateway Centre on London Road to meet Sue from Genesis Trust who gave us the task of tidying up the green area and bushes at the front of the building.

Holly and Meyrick set about clearing litter from under the bushes, whilst Ellie pruned and raked leaves, and Jer waded in to cut back the high growth and cut back some brambles which may have been encroaching from next door.

We filled a dozen or so rubbish bags (mostly with green stuff rather than litter) and then Holly and Jer had a go at the bushes from the London Road side. Holly was neatly cutting away some of the overgrown encroaching on to the pavement, but (of coarse!) Jer scaled the wall and set about properly precariously cutting back with a pair of super heavy-duty loppers!

We’d filled all the sacks, so left a massive pile of cuttings for Genesis Trust to sort out, but Sue was really happy and gave us lots of chocolate!
