Woking News...

  • A Good Luck to Wayne who is taking on Nuclear this weekend an obstacle course race.
  • Carrying on with the obstacle course racing theme... a few people are keen to take on the Summer nuts challenge (click on the link to find out more) as a GG Team. It happens on the 31stAugust -1st September. It's a great laugh with lots of mud. Doing it as a team is a real good laugh. Let us know if you are up for the challenge!!!
  • I will be taking on RedBull Quick sand this Saturday on Margate beach. A knock out mile race with sand dunes, sounds easy but it really isn't!!
  • I will also be taking on the Pirbright 10km this Sunday... if anyone is free and fancies a relaxed run around Pirbright. Its a trail event and all money goes to charity.
  • Tonight there is Hill training, meet at Lightwater Country park at 7:15pm... I look forward to seeing you there (it's not raining yet!)
  • We welcomed back Lottie to her second GoodGym run, I'm glad we didn't scare you off. We also welcomed Adeel who came along from a taste of GoodGym.
  • Well done to Rebecca who competed in Staines 10kmlast weekend, was a tough one in the heat!!
  • Next week we are at the Food Bank, meet at the leisure Center!

Last Night's Run

What a lovely evening for a run along the canal... and I think that's what the rest of Woking thought too, with many runners and cyclists along the canal. We headed up the canal for just over 2.5km to Brockhill Care Home. We always feel welcome everytime we come and last night was no change.

We had the job of taking care of one of the tenants garden. As you can see below, we made quite the difference. We had the job of the raised bed and the bed under the window.

Last night we met Adeel, A colleague of James. He came prepared with his gardening gloves and gave a helping hand. We hope to see you again soon once you have mended yourself from your calf injury.

After our hard work we headed back down the canal for a gentle run with the usual sprint finish from Anne, Rebecca and James!

A well done to Rebecca for adding to her GoodGym distance by running to and from home... making it to almost 10km!
