Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

Today's heavy lifting session/furniture shifting mission for Mr J involved a decent mix of perspiration and inspiration for Ramon and I. The physical effort needed to move Mr J's armchair and (large heavy) sofa down his narrow staircase certainly made us break sweat, whilst the figuring out of how we could actually get these two items from the upstairs living room to the bin store outside gave us the occasional minor headache.

In that traditional GoodGym spirit of "well somehow these items got up here, so there must be a way to get them back down" we weren't going to be defeated, but there were more than a few times when we found ourselves jammed against the wall or ceiling with seemingly no way to progress or reverse. Thankfully a well positioned and co-ordinated shove combined with just a small turn in one direction or the other would do the trick.

It was with some relief that we finally got the sofa through the front door and out into the fresh air - from there it was all downhill to the bin store and we did let gravity do its wonderful thing, and before long we had all the furniture parked at its final destination.
