I had gone to Windsor Castle yesterday so it was a perfect topic for my chat with Mrs. M, her having grown up in Windsor.
She reminisced how the entry to the castle used to be free in her days. For 6pence though, you could go up the tower to the flag pole and down to the dungeons.
It was the catalyst for a lovely walk down Nostalgia Lane for the dear lady ☺️
