We are a community centre beside Brockwell Park. The community hall is rented out and a variety of events are held here. We have recently started growing vegetables and herbs and we were fortunate to get some volunteers through IEL (Incredible Edible Lambeth) who helped us to start clearing the garden. It needs a fair amount of work to make it safe for young and older people to come and enjoy the space and lovely building. We have held many different events over the years. We always have a Xmas event where 2 of our residents dress up and deliver presents. Also we have an egg hunt We want to revive the community spirit We are starting a weekly coffee morning within the next few weeks to help break the isolation that many feel. We are awaitng confirmation that will enable us to run a school holiday club with the aid of a couple of ladies . The plan is to introduce the young ones to the beauty of wild life and the environment as well as the joy of arts and crafts. We are also looking into the possibilities to have a food bank.
