This Tuesday, five GoodGymers arrived at Carriers of Hope for our regular monthly visit. We were warmly greeted by the lovely Gloria. It was good to see Natalia coming again on her first visit to the Carriers of Hope !
It was a very hot day, with temperatures soaring, but we got stuck in straight away. There have been lots of generous donations recently, which is fantastic, but it has created a new challenge — finding space to store everything! Our main task was to take all the sleeping bags down from the shelves, rearrange them, and create as much space as possible. We also tidied up and organised all the crates.

On Tuesday evening, six GoodGymers made it to Carriers of Hope for another volunteering session. We were greeted by the delightful Gloria and Andrew. First, it was all hands on deck shifting boxes of baby milk upstairs. Although it didn’t look like there was much there, the boxes seemed to never end! It was a great workout for everyone. Sharon, Georgia, Steve and I carried the boxes up the stairs, while Laura and Lucy stacked the shelves and organised the boxes. Once we’d finished, we headed downstairs and set up three tables to sort oiut different types of flour into bags, label them, and heat seal them ready to go out for donations. It got pretty messy, but we had fun chatting while we worked. Gloria and Andrew led the way brilliantly. We finished with a good tidy-up, cleaned, and mopped the floor. Great work, everyone!

A beautiful sunny evening, four goodgymers turned up to Carriers of Hope for our monthly visit. The lovely Gloria was there to greet us, only we had a problem ,the main gateway was locked🙈 oh no! So we thought that was it and reluctantly said to Sharon and Lucy, who had arrived, that they might as well go home because we can’t get in! Myself and Gloria were just about to leave when someone came out and they had keys and opened the door so we could get in! Awesome👌!! Georgia came just as we gained access and Lucy came back as she was not too far away. Brilliant it was back on again.! So Georgia and I helped Gloria cut some carpet and after that it was on to sorting out all the new donations into crates and shelves accordingly. Alll different things , from curtains , clothes games and books, and we though we had found a stash of £50"s !! only it was napkins 😕 We managed to get four tubs cleared and sorted. A very successful evening despite the setback, so great work everyone 🙌”

Felt like Christmas again at our monthly visit to Carries of Hope! Six Goodgymers rolled up to help out: Georgia, Lucy, Laura, Sharon, Nigel, and myself. The awesome Michelle and Danni were there to greet us and guide us through our task. We all helped get the toys and games—donated before Christmas—to kids for presents. The ones that didn’t go, we took off the shelves, reorganised into categories and ages, labelled, and bagged up ready for next year! Nigel dodged the doo, Georgia was on the naughty list, but everyone else behaved and we finished in good time. Awesome guys 🙌

Nine GoodGymers visited Carriers of Hope,
We joined Steph, Gloria, and Emmanuel to sort through heaps and heaps of donated toys into neat age groups. From dolls to diggers, board games to books – every donation a perfect gift, with some amazing fun toys for the children to choose from!
It was a great turnout, and everyone pitched in to organise and prepare everything, lightening the load for the Carriers of Hope crew. Good work, everyone! 🙌
