Who would have thought that packing and delivering a local newsletter could be so entertaining? The first task was to ensure that each of the newsletters contained the necessary inserts so the local residents were kept up-to-date with local matters. Time flew by as we were entertained with numerous amusing stories by our fabulous host! Egg was especially joyful to find that there were still a few newsletters which needed folding as well... who'd have known that would bring such satisfaction?
Armed with a list of local streets, newsletters and a wheelchair we set off to start the delivery. Egg was enjoying the workout of pushing the chair as much as the delivery itself. I wasn't enjoying things quite as much.... crashing into kerbs, rolling away down hills and been abandoned in the middle of a busy road (well... a quiet cul-de-sac anyway) turned a few more of my hairs grey!
Once the brakes on the chair were mastered we formed a very effective team. Preparing and passing leaflets became as efficient as a GoodGym water station. This allowed us time to ponder the main mystery of the morning... the non-existent logic of the numbering of the houses. After passing 11,6,38,77 and 48 all in a row we gave up and accepted that some things will just never make sense!
Hopefully the residents will make more sense of their latest local newsletter!
