Twice as Nice

Friday 24th September 2021

Written by Rachael (GoodGym Barnsley)

This week, 3.5 GoodGymmers set out for a double task in Barnsley. We combined dropping charity bags for the RSPCA with delivering leaflets for Barnsley Youth Choir.

We were joined by one of the RSPCA trustees and his little boy, who provided great morale for the evening. We also enjoyed some lovely views in Wilthorpe Park.

A good two in one tonight - twice as nice!

BYC is a registered charity run by volunteers that provides outstanding opportunities for young people who live in Barnsley and were presented with the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (MBE) in January 2018.

They had provided GoodGym with some of their leaflets which this morning I managed to get delivered around Worsbrough Common - with a lovely run through Locke Park and back again! My Strava cut out during the deliveries unfortunately but it was around 4-5km in total.
