Abundance Oxford

An urban harvesting, redistributing and preserve-making project

Abundance is a community project to harvest & forage seasonal gluts of local fruit and food- nettles & elderflowers through to the more commonly picked apples, pears & plums. We redistribute, preserve, press apples etc. into juice & have a lot of fun doing so; meeting new people all the time.

Abundance's main goal is to help harvest the glut of city fruit, especially private unused fruit: and redistribute this surplus to the community to be enjoyed, on a not-for-profit basis - to community cafes, workshops, homeless shelters, old people's homes, asylum seeker projects, surestarts & individuals. We aim to do this with minimum negative impact on our environment.
