Food for Life Wales project is helping feed those in need in Cardiff. Vamsi explains how GoodGym members are helping the good work that they do in the community.

Food For Life Wales seeks to ensure that no one in South Wales goes hungry or is malnourished. They manage a volunteer-based distribution network that offers wholesome, plant-based meals for anyone experiencing food poverty or struggling to meet their nutritional needs. They've been active in the South Wales region for over 20 years.

“We distribute meals door to door and in various other outlets to those in need, struggling with physical or mental health difficulties, older people or low-income families” explains Vamsi.

GoodGym members have been running to help out the organisation.

Recently, Imy, Flo and Ellen from GoodGym Cardiff and the Vale headed to the Gurdwara in Adamsdown to disinfect seating before they were moved to their new base.

“GoodGym have helped us by packing meals, chopping vegetables and cleaning” says Vamsi. “It is always wonderful to have the team join us, efficiently handle the task in hand and then leave in a puff of smoke!”

“Those extra hands to help are so welcome.”

Food for Life Wales is run by volunteers. He adds: “It is sustained out of the kindness of people's hearts. Pulling together to give selflessly has a positive effect on us as individuals, and the world around us.”

So, what’s next for the Food for Life Wales: “We want to continue our work at all costs and as for GoodGym – keep up the good work.”
