After Erica, 33, joined GoodGym Southwark this month, she said she “could not have made a better choice.”

She has already completed her first good deed.

“I wanted to get more active and brush off the lockdown laziness” she explains “but I was looking for something different to a regular gym.”

She discovered GoodGym on social media and loved the idea. She adds: “Getting fit whilst making a good impact on the community, I was in a win-win position and I didn't think twice before signing up.”

She found the sign-up process straightforward. “I could immediately find a mission” she continues. “I joined a fellow GoodGym member in Brixton and helped carry the leftovers from the local Greggs to a charity nearby.” Bicycle stocked full of doughnuts and sandwiches, they brought them safely to their destination and Erica adds: “I can't describe that feel-good factor I experienced. We all know the benefits of physical activity and how good it makes you feel, but add completing a good deed and it feels exhilarating, I was chuffed!”

Erica, who is a Marketing Manager, plans to keep joining missions when she can, to meet new people in her local community.

“This is something I highly recommend if you look for a wholesome work out to keep your body fit and your mind open.”
