Changes to GoodGym activities from Monday 17th May
We can now do more tasks for more people and organisations
May 13, 2021
On Monday 17th May England moves into step 3 of the Government's roadmap out of lockdown. This step brings further easing of restrictions on social contact which will impact on GoodGym activities. Below is updated guidance for GoodGym activities from 17th May until group runs return on Monday 21st June.
All guidance is for England and Wales apart from missions and coach runs where there are different arrangements in place for Cardiff. Please see full guidance linked below.
From Monday 17th May:
Group runs
Group runs are on hold and will return on the 21st June with additional mitigations.
Community missions
Community missions can now take place for all tasks, whether they are providing an essential service or not. Tasks can happen both indoor and outdoors. Masks must be worn at all indoor tasks.
A cap on sign-ups will be in place when:
- The working space does not allow people to be socially distanced. If social distancing is not possible then a cap will be placed on sign-ups to the point where this is possible.
- The task requires a certain number of people to complete. A cap will be placed on sign-ups relative to the number of people needed to complete the task safely.
Missions
In England missions can now happen for indoor technology support tasks and non-urgent indoor tasks. Masks must be worn at all indoor tasks. For Cardiff please see full guidance below.
Coach runs
In England indoors visits can now resume if both the runner and coach are comfortable for this to happen. These must be socially distanced and both runner and coach must wear a mask. For Cardiff please see full guidance below.
Please see our full guidance on coach and mission runs here.
Training sessions
Training sessions can now happen outdoors for up to 30 people.
Socials
In person socials can happen but given the tight restrictions on indoor socialising any social should be outdoors and have a cap of 30 people.
Find a session in your local area here. We're looking forward to seeing you out there.
